America Supports you was a project created by the Department of Defense to provide an information portal for returning soldiers and veterans and to help locate services and support groups local to them.

The site was a custom CMS built in PHP. Features included a dynamically loading image feed on the homepage, a News section that could be updated by non technical staff, An events calendar, and “What’s happening in my area.” This was a part of the site that used calls to the Google Maps API to display information based on the zip code entered. The UI was written in PHP and the Google Maps display was written in AS2.
